International Summer Games
Weightlifting
LOCATION: June 22, 2008 - Mesa YMCA
IN ADDITION: By participating all competitors automatically qualify for the
State Games of the West Championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado on July 24-27, 2008.
The event will feature approximately 8,000 athletes from thirteen Western States competing
for State pride & medals. Competition will be held at venues such as the US Air Force
Academy & the US Olympic Training Center.
ENTRY FEE: Individual - $30 (Non Refundable): make payment out to Joe Micela.
Day of entry: Individual - $40 (Cash only will be accepted).
ENTRY DEADLINE: Early registration (postmarked on or before) June 7, 2008. Late entries taken up to and
on the day of the competition. Entries not taken on the Grand Canyon State Games Entry form, website, or at the State Games online entry site.
RULES: Sanctioned by Team Arizona Olympic Weightlifting (#48-08-04). Current USAW rules will be followed.
Proof of USAW Registration and age is required at weigh in. ALL participants are required at weigh in to produce
government documents, (i.e. birth certificate, drivers license), a Picture ID and a USAW Membership Card.
TECHNICAL CLINIC: Prior to the start of the days competition, all technical questions, and a general rules clinic will be conducted (if necessary before subsequent sessions). *Anyone who does not attend the Technical Conference agrees to accept all decisions made at the Technical conference.
AWARDS: Medals for best in weight class by Division (Schoolage, Juniors, Seniors, & Masters). Trophies for
Best Overall Male and Female by Sinclair Formula.

SESSION 1: 48, 53, 58, 63, 69, 75, 75+ ALL WOMEN (ALL DIVISIONS) WEIGH-IN 8-9:00 AM LIFT 10:00 AM
SESSION 2: 56, 62, 69, - Kilo MEN (ALL DIVISIONS) WEIGH-IN 10-11:00 AM LIFT 12:00 PM
SESSION 2: 77, 85, -Kilo MEN (ALL DIVISIONS) WEIGH-IN 12-1 PM LIFT 2:00 PM
SESSION 3: 94, 105, 105+ Kilo MEN (ALL DIVISIONS) WEIGH-IN 2-3:00 PM LIFT 4:00 PM
